Join hometown favourites, The Beckett Family, for their 24th Annual New Year’s Eve show!
The Beckett’s are a family band from Grey Bruce County with deep roots in traditional country and Old Time fiddle music. The band consists of fiddling siblings Tyler and Linsey, their father, John, and special guest appearances from their grandfather, Stan. This musical family has been entertaining audiences across the province for many years and strives to get your toes tappin' with their arrangements of traditional country, bluegrass, western swing and Canadian Old-Time fiddling, combined with exhilarating Ottawa Valley step-dancing. Filling out The Beckett’s traditional sound is an all-star band, equipped with telecaster and acoustic guitar, drums, piano and swingin’ steel guitar. Playing music in a family environment has allowed Tyler and Linsey to value the tradition of Old Time fiddle music, as well as nurture their own musical styles. In recent years, Tyler and Linsey have performed on numerous stages across North America, Europe and Asia, delighting audiences with their energetic fiddle styles. Individually, Tyler and Linsey have numerous nominations for the ‘Fiddle Player of the Year Award' at the Canadian Country Music Awards, and are currently playing twin fiddles with CCMA Entertainer of the Year, Jade Eagleson. Celebrate New Year’s Eve with The Beckett Family Tuesday, December 31st at the Roxy Theatre, Owen Sound. Two exciting shows - a matinee at 2pm and an evening performance at 7:30pm.
